Our Story
A Portuguese-Russian homeschooling family of four living in Tokyo.
Welcome to our site! I'm Crafty Mum and I will be your guide through all of our adventures, activities, arts&crafts, trips and more. Our life is culturally intense - both myself and my husband are keen to ensure that our children are familiar with our homeland cultures and languages and is one of the main reasons we have decided to homeschool. We are always on the lookout for fun ways to achieve our multicultural goal and our delighted to be able to share our tips and tricks. I personally love all things arts&crafts and hope that you can find some fun things to do with your kids amongst all our ideas.
We have decided to refer to our kids by age in all the blog posts rather than by name for the reason that it makes it easier for our readers to identify with the stories and judge suitability of crafts. We have a "Kids' blog" section that is run by our kids where they write about things they wish to share with the world as well as a "Parents' worries" section covering all the painfully familiar worries and musings of a parent of two. I do not profess to be a guru of any sort, but if reading them helps - my goal has been achieved!
